Compressor Housing

The compressor housing is where clean air is gathered and compressed before being forced into the engine - it fits with the compressor wheel.

On modern turbochargers, it is usually made from aluminium, and typically features a‘volute’or spiral shaped design, which helps to provide optimum airflow and air pressure to the engine.

Besides the compressor housing, the turbo assembly is composed of below parts:

turbine housing

turbine wheel and shaft

compressor piston ring

back plate

bearing housing

intake pipe

exhaust manifold
